The natural hair movement in the Black community has grown strong. The moment has taken off in the USA and then quickly spread over the world. It means one thing, Black women are learning to appreciate and embrace their own beauty. There is something that is very special about Black people’s hair, which is, no other race on the planet has hair texture like Black people. Black people have always been ashamed that their hair was different and less like animal fur.
But in the new age of technology and social networking, Black women are beginning to learn that these features make them special. We live in a world where everyone strives to be different from everyone else and claim our individuality. Black women are beginning to embrace their individuality.
It’s about time Black women wake up and learn that the trash they put on their heads and try to pass off as hair is ridiculous. Furthermore, they also raise their daughters with the same lack of self-esteem. Consider, these are women that someday have to marry Black men and raise Black children. They need to be in a mental position to empower these children. They need to be strong and embrace who they are for the sake of the future of Black people all over the world.
It is simply not natural for a group of people to build a culture on emulating everyone who looks nothing like them. This form of inclusion sets Black people back and gives everyone else good reason to laugh. When you understand that you are the original and that you possess dominant features and qualities, then you no longer feel a need to look different from what you are claiming. The action is a direct contradiction in itself. Why would God want to behave and look like a cashier at McDonald’s? Why would the true Goddess of our planet want to copy another group?
The truth is, Black hair is beautiful. The texture is more different than any other animal on the planet and there is no likeness. That’s because of Black people’s dominant genes. This is something that should be embraced and appreciated. Nappy hair is a beautiful thing. Black people should spend the hours that they spend grooming animals hair that they buy, and use that time grooming their own hair.
Are Black Women Waking Up About Their Hair?
It appears more common today than in the last few decades to see Black women wear and embrace their own hair. Fewer women are supporting weaves and I believe that Black women have reached a mental state where they want to claim their natural beauty. When Black people embrace their own beauty, the entire world copies. Every other woman on the planet desires to have the curves and figures that Black women naturally possess. The beauty industry thrives off of white women who pay tons of money for botox injections and plastic surgeries to appear more Black. Billions are spent on tanning alone.
Black women are waking up and they are getting fed up with copying everyone else. There is a big movement in the Black community now where Black women are learning to care for and embrace their natural hair; their natural beauty.
No longer are Black women hiding from the sun. They are embracing the sun and their melanin. Being Black is in style and Black women have always been in style. They just haven’t realized it. No one wants to copy from someone who is copying. People want to copy from the people who have something that is rare. Black textured hair is rare and it is special. Black women can create styles with their hair that no other woman can.
Black women’s natural hair is strong. Their hair is beautiful. Their hair is 100 percent human hair. That is a lot to be proud of. Furthermore, Black hair looks better than any other grade of hair. Black textured hair comes in many varieties. The hair can be nappy and curly, soft, hard, thick, thin… it doesn’t matter. Black hair is beautiful and I am so glad that Black women are finally waking up to embrace their beautiful, natural, nappy, curly hair. It sure looks better than that other mess!
